Well, this isn’t a food review. But that’s the point. This is my introduction post, where I try to win you over with my credentials or something. Unfortunately, I don’t have many besides loving food and being a born-and-raised Memphian. The food scene in this city is phenomenal, truly, and I want to explore it, review it, photograph it, and whatever else I can think of.

I can’t keep writing without addressing the fact that food reviewers very much already exist in Memphis. I absolutely love our local restaurants and always strive to eat local when my wife and I decide to eat out. I have been enjoying the robust food scene here for the better part of 26 years now, and I finally decided I want to talk about it.

My goal is to highlight local spots, find gems, and talk honestly about the food here in Memphis and the larger metropolitan area. Shelby County, as a whole, has some wonderful dining options, and I intend to visit those places, too. You’ll find me in Memphis and all the surrounding cities throughout this culinary journey.
